Abstract
Mossbauer studies of ultrafine clusters of iron oxides, hydroxides and metallic iron are reported. The investigations deal with the structur e of clusters, their surface, and interaction of clusters with carrier s. Thermodynamic considerations reveal the role of porous media in the processes of nucleation and growth of ultrafine clusters and their pe culiar solid-liquid properties.
