Abstract
7-Phenyl-, 7-chlorophenyl-, 7-methylphenyl-, and 7-trifluoromethylphen ylquinone methide were synthesized to investigate the anionic polymeri zation of quinone methide. Novel high molecular weight polymers have b een prepared and the substitution effects of the monomers on polymeriz ation kinetics were determined. (C) 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
