Dependence of the minimal size of a pedigree sample providing the give
n quality of a linkage decision on the genotype penetrance of the loca
lized gene is considered. The two ways of the sample informativity inc
rease are discussed and their effects are estimated. These ways are: t
he adequate choice of a marker gene and certain complicatrion of a ped
igree structure. It is shown for the latter that the effect can be ach
ieved only for certain phenotypic characteristrics of the additional p
edigree members.
