T. Kasai et al., BENIGN STRICTURE OF THE EXTRAHEPATIC BILE-DUCT FOLLOWING HEPATECTOMY FOR TRAUMATIC HEPATIC RUPTURE, Intensive care medicine, 19(8), 1993, pp. 472-474
Benign biliary stricture developing after hepatectomy is uncommon and
its management remains controversial. We experienced a case of biliary
stricture following hepatectomy for traumatic hepatic rupture, which
was successfully treated with percutaneous transhepatic dilatation. Pe
rcutaneous transhepatic dilatation may be considered as one of the opt
ions in the treatment of anatomically complicated cases.
