Abstract
The three main polyamines putrescine (Put), spermidine (Spd) and sperm ine (Spm) were characterized by HPLC in intact spinach leaf cells, int act chloroplasts, thylakoid membranes, Photosystem II membranes, the l ight-harvesting complex and the PS II complex. All contain the three p olyamines in various ratios; the HPLC polyamine profiles of highly res olved PS II species (a Photosystem II core and the rection center) sug gest an enrichment in the polyamine Spm.
