Abstract
We obtain a simple far-field structure of a confined pair of dislocati ons in the hexagonal pattern forming a penta-hepta defect. The solutio n, based on an isotropic scaling of extended spatial coordinates, has the form of a triplet of quadrupoles, and is smooth everywhere except the origin.
