Abstract
The lifetimes tau(a) of negative molecular ions of twenty ferrocene de rivatives have been measured by mass spectrometry. An empirical relati on was found that describes the change of tau(a) in this series of com pounds. A model of electron ejection from the molecular ions through t hree channels is proposed, which explains the observed results.
