CHARACTERIZATION OF PIEZOCERAMICS - REPLY

This response addresses the comments and discusses the validity or the models we previously proposed1 and concerning the vibration modes of piezoelectric samples. Based on both linear piezoelectricity and plane wave propagation, these models show the coupling influence inside the bodies. The approximate modellings, which are inevitable for this cas e, are stated using simplifying hypotheses allowing the solution of th e constitutive piezoelectric equations. The remarks, formulated by the authors of comments and related to certain limits of our models are a llowable. On the other hand, due to a misreading of [1], those concern ing the velocities of particular vibration modes are wrong.
