Abstract
Counselling in Kuwait is a recent development and is relatively unexpl ored. This paper aims at giving a brief overview of the current status of school guidance and counselling. It also attempts to critically ex amine the prospects and limitations of counselling programs in course credit secondary schools. It concludes by shedding some light on effor ts exerted in the direction of promoting counselling in the country, a nd specific challenges and problems with which it is faced.
