Abstract
At 2 groups of geese the influence of a different restriction of feed intake from the 1st to the 28th day after hatching on the body weight, the weight of 8 tissues as well as on their content of DNA, RNA and p rotein on the 196th day in comparison to continously normal fed geese was analysed. The growth of the various tissues was influenced by the restrictive feeding in a different way. In the restrictively fed geese the amount of DNA was reduced in most tissues, with the exception of the spleen. The amount of RNA in the cerebrum, in the heart muscle, in the lung and in the spleen of the geese of the 3 groups on the 196th day was similar, that in the liver, in the kidney and in the gizzard o f the restrictively fed geese was smaller.
