Abstract
The regenerated plants obtained from Strophanthus divaricatus calli co ntain 10 cardenolides, accumulating seven of them in the original plan ts. At the same time, two new cardenolides were isolated and structura lly elucidated as 17betaH-divostroside and 17betaH-divaricoside by spe ctrometry. Cardenolide production with morphological differentiation w as demonstrated in Strophanthus species.
