Abstract
Agglomeration of zinc oxide fines from the Cinkur Waelz furnace in Tur key is necessary before reuse in the Waelz furnace. The fines were bri quetted using various binders. The effects of type and amount of binde r, applied pressure, hydrated lime, fineness of material and aging of mixture on the crushing strength, abrasion index and stability of briq uettes in water were investigated. A model was developed for this purp ose.
