Abstract
Recycling of surface-treated poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) film u sed for electronic components production was studied. The recycled PET was mixed with poly(buthylene terephthalate) (PBT). Two recycling pro cess was tried to obtain the proper shape for mixing. One process is t o make half-molten flakes, and the other process is to make pellets by melting the crushed film. The recycled flakes could be mixed up to 20 % without damaging the physical properties of PBT. The molecular weigh t of the recycled pellets were 10% lower than that of the original fil m, and the physical properties of the 20% recycled pellet mixed PBT we re decreased. No effect of the silicone resin used for surface treatme nt was recognized.
