Abstract
The finding that benzidine and 4,4'-biphenol form stable inclusion com plexes in acetonitrile with the previously reported receptor cyclobis( paraquat-p-phenylene) was used to self-assemble novel redox-active rot axanes based on the interactions that stabilize these inclusion comple xes.
