Abstract
Semiempirical formulas are obtained for the effective emissivities by a numerical and approximate analytic solution of the problem of radiat ion heat exchange in a narrow cavity between two parallel plane coaxia l rings. The error in the formulas obtained does not exceed 5% over a fairly wide range of variation of the blackness coefficients of the wa lls of the cavity and their dimensions, which enables these formulas t o be used for practical calculations.
