Abstract
The specific growth rate of Haematococcus lacustris is significantly e nhanced by the addition of acetate to the culture medium under non-sat urating light intensities, as determined at a 99.5%, confidence level. Light intensity affects the specific growth rate either under autotro phic or mixotrophic conditions.
