Abstract
The data on 14 REE in 8 standard reference samples of oceanic sediment s (SDO-1, -2, -3, and -9), Fe-Mn nodules (SDO-4, -5, -6) and crust (SD O-7) were obtained by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry ana lysis (ICP-MS). Relative standard deviation for REE in standard sample s SDO-1, SDO-2, and SDO-3 were better than 10%, for SDO-4, SDO-5, SDO- 6, SDO-7, and SDO-9 were limited by 5%. Data processing included resol ving problems of instrumental drift, matrices effects and oxide interf erences. The analyses were carried out, both with internal standards ( In-115 or In-115-Re-185) and standard addition. According to the REE r esults of ICP-MS analysis the standard addition can be substituted for analysis with one or better two internal standards in routine analysi s. Matrices effects and drift have been corrected in this procedure ef fectively. Interference factors are calculated using results from stan dard solutions: STDA, STDB, Ce, and Ba normalized to Tho/Th or without normalization. Accuracy of the method was controlled by reference sam ples BCR-1, AGV-1, and GSP-1. The REE data in these reference samples are presented in the paper too.
