Abstract
Major progress has been achieved in recent years in the design and fab rication of optoelectronic components. This brings new possibilities f or the development of optical techniques in the various fields of appl ication, telecommunications, optical data storage and processing, obse rvation. In this paper, some of these recent developments are describe d, based on devices fabricated on III-V and ferroelectric materials.
