Abstract
A process of onset of a field-aligned mass flow due to growth of magne tic field in the chromosphere is considered. A system of hydrodynamic equations is solved numerically for ideal gas in a flux tube. The fiel d increase timescale tau less than 300 s is necessary for efficient fo rmation of a typical surge.
