Abstract
Non-chlorine compound breaching stages and sequences which eliminate A OX and chlorinated dioxins from the pulp and effluent may be possible if chemicals such as oxygen, peroxide and ozone are used in the bleach ing sequences. Specified conditions as to temperature, time and pH mus t be followed to achieve good brightnesses while retaining pulp streng th.
