Abstract
The relationship between the physicochemical parameters and the flow r ate through a zirconia membrane was defined in order to contribute to the improvement of the theories describing the ultrafiltration process . The surface charge of the ultrafiltration zirconia membrane was eval uated and its performance was determined. Fuzzy mathematics, a fuzzy e xpert system and fuzzified linear programming were applied to include uncertain data into the models.
