Abstract
A 16-yr-old man with localized juvenile periodontitis was treated in o ne single surgical treatment visit. No adjunctive chemotherapy, implan t material, or guided tissue regeneration (GTR) was used. Excellent bo ne repair was seen after 14 wk at the sites of the vertical periodonta l lesions. The rapid hearing could have been due to the treatment meth od, the youth of the patient, or the type and form of the bony defects . Radiographic control seems to be indicated 12-14 wk after surgical t reatment.
