Ov. Borodin et al., INVESTIGATION OF MICROSTRUCTURE OF FERRITIC-MARTENSITIC STEELS CONTAINING 9-PERCENT AND 13-PERCENT CR IRRADIATED WITH FAST-NEUTRONS, Journal of nuclear materials, 207, 1993, pp. 295-302
Methods of analytical electron microscopy were used to study the micro
structures of ferritic-martensitic steels irradiated with fast neutron
s (some of the specimens were examined after intermediate thermal anne
aling and reirradiation). It was found that neutron irradiation in the
temperature range for low temperature radiation embrittlement (370-38
0 degrees C) leads to the formation of fine precipitates and a radiati
on-induced dislocation structure. The Cr content is found to have an i
nfluence on phase composition under irradiation: carbonitrides of type
M(2)X formed in 9% steels and Cr-rich alpha'-phase in 13% steels.
