Abstract
A study was made on the lipid peroxidation, reduced glutathione and yi eld/plant in seeds of 5 wheat genotypes and their 10 F1 hybrids. The l owest rate of lipid peroxidation and highest level of reduced glutathi one were observed in NS Rana 2 x Bankuti 1205 having the highest resis tance to the toxic effect of activated oxygen radicals and therefore, it could be used in wheat breeding. Genotypes NS Rana 2 x Bankuti 1205 has also the highest yield / plant among the examined genotypes.
