Abstract
The collective consciousness or mind of humanity, especially that aspe ct that deals with the world ''economic system,'' is the environment o f major interest in this paper. The meaning of environment is discusse d, and the environment is considered to be a force field. Field theory is briefly summarized, and some examples of human induction and desta bilization of fields given. An overview of the Kondratiev cycle/struct ure (''economic long wave'') including relevant modeling approaches is presented. A new conceptual model is initiated. The Kondratiev is con ceptualized as an evolving informational field. The informational fiel d is related to the various kinds of attractors and to the expansion a nd contraction of phase space. The model is then extended to incorpora te self-replicating micro-units. The conceptual model, with an integra tion of several facets to the extent now possible, is summarized, and some comparison made with other models. Suggestions for further work a re offered.
