Mj. Philippe et al., MODELING OF TEXTURE EVOLUTION FOR MATERIALS OF HEXAGONAL SYMMETRY .1.APPLICATION TO ZINC-ALLOYS, Acta metallurgica et materialia, 42(1), 1994, pp. 239-250
This work describes the texture and microstructure evolution during co
ld rolling of zinc alloys. The choice of the Taylor model and its appl
icability to the ZnCuTi alloy are being discussed. The use of this kin
d of model in the case of ZnCuTi alloys permits to predict, with a goo
d agreement, the texture evolution by cold rolling up to 80% reduction
. The conditions of occurrence of various texture components are discu
ssed. The authors compare their results with those published in the li
terature and compare also their results with those obtained according
to different models (Sachs, Taylor..). They show, in particular, that
the hypotheses of the model have to be in accordance with the evolutio
n of the microstructure on the one hand and that the critical stresses
of the deformation systems have to be well known on the other hand.
