Experimental gas flow investigations are presented, especially in hydr
odynamical transition regime. Measurement technique is a mass transfer
method (ammonia-absorption) with digital local analysis of measuring
informations. The experimental tube bundle contains particular support
baffles with slots for fluid flow. Flow rate and geometry or space of
the support baffle were varied in the experiments. Profils of local h
eat transfer coefficients are discussed in main flow direction and in
direction of tubular circumference. The influence of tube pitch on the
intensity of heat transfer was showed, in witch the square pitch in a
dvantageous. A thermo-hydraulic comparison with usual tube bundle exch
anger allows conclusion on preferences in more turbulent regime.
