SOCIOSPATIAL STOCKS AND ANTISTOCKS - THE LOGISTIC MAP IN REAL-SPACE

In this paper, the behavior of the simple logistic map, May (1976), in the real space (R) is analyzed. Interest in the global behavior of th e map, and in particular when the environmental parameter and the stat e variable obtain' negative values, is warranted because actual, relat ive and negative stock sizes have particular meaning in socio-spatial dynamics. It is shown that a continuous as well as a non-symmetric cor respondence of behavior exists, from the positive to the negative doma in in R.
