Abstract
Regenerates of Ruta graveolens survive transplant shock only after pre treatment with 10 mu M abscisic acid (ABA) or 10 mu M tetcyclacis, an inhibitor of ABA degradation that increases endogenous ABA. The benefi cial role of ABA is explained by stimulating effects on lateral root a nd root hair formation.
