Abstract
Some species of the genus Arthopyrenia Massal. have different staining characteristics with dyes of the thiazine series. The reactions are p resented for some members of the genus. Additionally, further examples from other genera are mentioned. The reactions may be useful as addit ional characters in monographic treatments, in determination or in bio logical observations.
