Abstract
Blends of linear polyethylene with two ethylene-octene copolymers of 2 and 8 mol% octene content have been prepared and their melt-phase beh aviour determined by examination of quenched samples by differential s canning calorimetry and transmission electron microscopy using surface replicas. The ternary phase diagram for the system has been determine d. It shows three distinct regions of liquid-liquid phase separation, all at high branch content.
