S. Caorsi et al., THEORETICAL AND NUMERICAL TREATMENT OF SURFACE INTEGRALS INVOLVING THE FREE-SPACE GREENS-FUNCTION, IEEE transactions on antennas and propagation, 41(9), 1993, pp. 1296-1301
This paper deals with the problem of the calculation of surface integr
als in the case of the widely popular double-triangular basis function
s first introduced by Rao, Wilton, and Glisson. An entire set of formu
las is obtained which overrides the difficulties inherent to the singu
larity of the integrands, and results showing the Stability, accuracy,
and efficiency of the methods developed are reported in an applicatio
n of the method of moments to the case of perfectly conducting surface
s and computation of near field in domains including the surface itsel
f. Furthermore, we provide insight as regards the capability of triang
ular basis functions to model near-field patterns.
