Abstract
The iodoplumbates (Me(3)N-C3H6-NMe(3))(3)[Pb3I9](2) (2) and (Me(3)N-C3 H6-NMe(3))(2)[Pb3I10] (3) or (Me(3)N-C2H4-NMe(3))(2)[Pb3I10] (1), resp ectively, are formed in the reaction of PbI2 with NaI and (Me(3)N-C3H6 -NMe(3))(PF6)(2) or (Me(3)N-C2H4-NMe(3))(PF6)(2) in DME. The anions of 1 and 2 consist of Pb3I11 units sharing common I atoms to form infini te zigzag-chains and nets. The polymeric anions in 3 contain chains of face- and edge-sharing PbI6 octahedra. (Me(3)N-C2H4-NMe(3))(2)[Pb3I10 ] (1): Space group P (1) over bar (No. 2), a = 950.66(6), b = 1341.2(1 ), c = 1899.7(2) pm, alpha = 103.646(8), ---beta = 90.097(5), gamma = 107.733(4)degrees, V = 2234.8(2) . 10(6) pm(3); (Me(3)N-C3H6-NMe(3))(3 )[Pb3I9](2) (2): Space group C2/c (No. 15), a = 2679.0(4), b = 950.3(2 ), c = 3090,0(3) pm, beta = 90.84(1)degrees, V = 7866(2) . 10(6) pm(3) ; (Me(3)N-C3H6-NMe(3))(2)[Pb3I10] (3): Space group C2/c (No. 15), a = 2290.5(4), b = 972.4(2), beta = 115.64(1)degrees, V = 9678(3) . 10(6) pm(3).
