E. Akpinar et al., MODELING AND ANALYSIS OF CLOSED-LOOP SLIP ENERGY RECOVERY INDUCTION-MOTOR DRIVE USING A LINEARIZATION TECHNIQUE, IEEE transactions on energy conversion, 8(4), 1993, pp. 688-697
In this paper, a fourth order nonlinear model is derived from the prev
iously developed model [1] for an open-loop slip energy recovery induc
tion motor drive. The nonlinear transient model of the open-loop drive
is linearized around a steady-state operating point using a small sig
nal perturbation technique and the transfer functions which relate the
input and output variables are derived. The block diagram for the clo
sed-loop control system is obtained. The responses of the Proportional
plus Integral (PI) controller employed to control the rotor speed and
the PI controller used to control the dc link current are predicted a
nd compared with experimental results.
