Vapour - liquid equilibrium data for the binary system alpha-pinene s(-)-limonene were determined at 40, 66.7 and 101.3 kPa in an equilibr
ium still similar to the Othmer one. Vapour pressures of pure componen
ts were measured and the data correlated with the Antoine equation. Pa
rameters for the Margules, Wilson, NRTL and UNIQUAC equations were cal
culated with the aid of a Nelder-Mead technique to minimize an objecti
ve function based on the total pressure. Predictions with the UNIFAC m
ethod were also obtained.
