The effect of processed shilajit (SJ-P) was evaluated on murine perito
neal macrophages and on the cohabiting fibroblasts. The study revealed
a dynamic aspect of modulation of the peritoneal cells by SJ-P (200-6
00 mcg/mouse), when administered intraperitoneally. The findings furth
er suggested that by carefully determining the dose, SJ-P can be used
in wound healing and in related inflammatory disease states.
