The combined conversion electron (CEMS) and gamma-transmission Mossbau
er spectroscopy is used to investigate the differences in the bulk and
surface crystallization of the amorphous Fe81Zr7B12 alloy. The radio-
frequency induced effects (rf collapse and side bands) are used to stu
dy the microstructure and magnetic behaviour of the alloy in the amorp
hous and nanocrystalline states. Rf-Mossbauer experiment permits us to
distinguish soft magnetic nanocrystalline bcc-Fe phase from microcrys
talline alpha-Fe.
