As. Choe et al., COMPARISON OF 2 RELATIVISTIC B-SPLINE BASIS-SETS USING A POINT AND A FINITE-SIZE NUCLEUS FOR THE IONS O+7 AND HG+79, Journal of the Korean Physical Society, 26(6), 1993, pp. 597-602
The energy levels of N s1/2 states (N = 1 approximately 5) for the one
-electron ions of O+7 and Hg+79 are obtained by using the B-spline bas
is sets. Two different types of atomic nuclei, a point and a finite-si
ze, are used. The results for the energy levels are compared with thos
e obtained by the finite difference method. The relativistic B-spline
basis sets for the point nucleus model are found to be good enough to
produce a similar accuracy as that for the finite-size nucleus model,
even when the wave functions of N S1/2 States in the point nucleus mod
el show a singular behavior at the origin.
