Abstract
Atypical mycobacterial infections are uncommon, particularly in the sp ine. The authors present the case of a patient with vertebral osteomye litis secondary to Mycobacterium chelonae subspecies abscessus that wa s successfully treated with surgical debridement and stabilization, fo llowed by chemotherapy.
