Abstract
Latent heat of vaporization in seven canola cultivars (Candle, Global, Gulle, Hektor, Tobin, Tower and Westar) was calculated based on the C lausius-Clapeyron equation. Differences in the magnitude of latent hea t were observed among the cultivars at moisture contents below 8% db ( dry basis). The cultivars were ranked according to ascending values of latent beat (below 6.5% db moisture content): Gulle, Hektor, Tower, T obin, Candle, Global and Westar. The latent heat of canola (Brassica n apus L., cv. Westar) decreased considerably with increasing number of drying-rewetting cycles at moisture contents below 8% db.
