Hyperplasia of Brunner's glands is a dysembryoplasic or hyperplasic le
sion with an elective location of the proximal duodenum. Symptoms are
often non-specific but severe manifestations can occur (haemorrhage, d
uodenal obstruction). Two cases of hyperplasia of Brunner's glands wer
e reported due to their particularly large size and a misguiding clini
cal appearance. Difficulties in diagnosis due to this rare benign enti
ty were discussed.
