G. Macdougall et Rj. Sanderson, ALTERED DENTAL SENSATION FOLLOWING INTRANASAL SURGERY, Journal of Laryngology and Otology, 107(11), 1993, pp. 1011-1013
Some patients complain of altered sensation in the mouth following nas
al surgery. A prospective study of 60 consecutive patients who underwe
nt a total of 83 intranasal procedures revealed that this was a common
complication, particularly following submucous resection (SMR) or int
ranasal antrostomies. The area affected by pain/parasthesia appears to
be anatomically related to the surgical procedure(s) performed.
