Recent advances in the development of predictive models for erosion-co
rrosion in disturbed turbulent flows are reviewed. Tle application of
turbulence models permits the structure (velocity, pressure, turbulenc
e fields) of the complex flow to be determined along with the calculat
ion of local mass transfer rates of reactants and products. Particle/w
all interaction statistics that are required for the application of er
osion models are also determined.
