Abstract
The medical literature on pregnancy in primary biliary cirrhosis is re stricted; it mostly dates from several decades ago and mostly reports a bad prognosis for the fetus as well as for the liver disease. We rep ort experiences based on four pregnancies in three patients with prima ry biliary cirrhosis which are at variance with those reported earlier .
