Abstract
We have used a single steroid injection into the flexor sheath as prim
ary treatment in 65 trigger fingers. Of these, 61% had full resolution
of their symptoms, the remainder requiring surgical release. We feel
that a satisfactory outcome can be achieved by careful injection techn
ique, which carries a much lower complication rate than surgery.
