Abstract
The corrosion of aluminium (99.5%) and aluminium-magnesium-silicon all oys has been studied in alkaline solutions with chloride ions. The pro tective effects of silatranes, RSi/OCH2CH2/3N have been investigated. The corrosion rates of the aluminium and the inhibition efficiences of the applied compounds were determined by weight-loss and electrochemi cal measurements.
