DIKISAZOIC AND TETRAKISAZOIC SULPHONAMIDI C DERIVATIVES OF THE AMINO-NAPHTHOL-SULFONIC ACIDS

The paper presents the synthesis of certain aminosulphfonamides of the 1-amino-8-naphthol-4,6-disulphonic acid and 1-amino-8-naphthol-3,6-di sulphonic acid, as well as their utilization for the synthesis of new acid disazo dyes and direct azoic dyes. The acid disazo dyes have been obtained by coupling the diazonium salts with aminosulphonamides resu lting in monoazoic dyes which after separation have been diazotized an d coupled with derivatives of 2-naphthol. For the synthesis of the dir ect dyes, the nitrosulphonamides or the monoazo dyes resulted from cou pling the diazotized aminosulphonamides with 2-naphthol have been used as raw-materials for coupling with bis-diazotized o-dianisidine. The synthesised dyes have been characterized by electronic spectre, thin l ayer chromatography and tinctorial trials on cotton and wool. Brighten ess of shades and satisfactory fastness of the dyeing have been report ed.
