Abstract
This study investigates the course of serum cytokine levels in patient s with multiple trauma, patients with a ruptured abdominal aortic aneu rysm (AAA), and patients undergoing elective AAA repair and the relati onship of these cytokines to the development of adult respiratory dist ress syndrome (ARDS) and multiple organ failure (MOF).
