Jc. Carroll et al., METASTATIC RENAL-CELL CARCINOMA TO THE RIGHT CARDIAC VENTRICLE WITHOUT CONTIGUOUS VENA-CAVAL INVOLVEMENT, The Journal of urology, 151(1), 1994, pp. 133-134
We report an unusual metastatic renal cell carcinoma in the right card
iac ventricle in a 53-year-old man who presented with increasing dyspn
ea. Diagnostic evaluation revealed a left renal tumor without contiguo
us extension into the inferior vena cava and a right ventricular mass.
To our knowledge this is only the second reported case of metastatic
renal cell carcinoma to the right cardiac ventricle diagnosed ante mor
tem. We discuss the case and review the literature.
