SYNTHESES OF ORGANOFLUORINE COMPOUNDS BY OXIDATIVE FLUORINATION REACTION

Methods for preparation of organofluorine compounds are reviewed from the view point of the reagent system consisting of fluoride ion and an oxidant. Reagents like N-halo imides are often used as the oxidant, w hich may be replaced by electrochemical oxidation. These methods provi de us with various types of fluorinated compounds efficiently and sele ctively under mild conditions.
